Alternative Options are Shown – in many cases where the regulations allow alternative labeling, placarding or even specialized exemptions HazMat Trucking Enforcer provides those alternatives. For example: when packaging group III items are labeled alternatives using Toxic, Poison, PG III or Keep Away from Food are displayed. In the case of placarding, options for alternatives can be toggled when the option scroll bar is shown on the compliance pane. (Instances where the DOT regulations allow the use of other standards, such as IMDG or UN these alternatives are not shown, HazMat Trucking Enforcer is based on US DOT regulations as defined in 49 CFR 100-180.)

makes it easy for the inspector to check the regulations or even to educate the driver on where he has violated the regulations. Additionally, by having all of the text of the regulations at your fingertips it is easy to provide the proper cite for the violation.
Included with the electronic regulations (HazRegs Module) is the ability to browse all of the regulations, search for any text using various Boolean search terms, including the powerful proximity search. Hyperlinks within the HMT Consolidated table make it easy to cross-reference special provisions. Finally, book marks and a special quick links guidance document have been provided to make it easy for the inspector to reach key tables or regulations. |
