HazMat Manager Green (HMMG) brings to the 'green screen' environment the power, accuracy, currency, and ease of use found in its acclaimed PC based sibling. HMMG makes it easy to comply with the US Department of Transportation (US DOT) Hazardous Material Regulations (HMR) for the highway transportation of hazardous materials. The callable routines are embedded in your existing business process software providing a seamless information flow.
HMMG can be included with billing systems, close-out systems or even cross-dock systems -- anywhere you need to know how to placard, segregate, or trailer mark hazardous material shipments. All input and output is text based, no graphical images or graphical user interfaces are utilized.

The mainframe version of the RegScan software allows IT departments to bring compliance checking right to the billing function, instead of relying on a manual review at trailer close-out. Product description:
HMMG is written in ANSI C with CICS Stubs on the OS390 / Z/OS platform
and without CICS Stubs on the AS/400 platform. A user-written calling
program is required to handle all functions related to building a load
and passing that information via an IO buffer based communications method
to HMMG. All communications that occur between HMMG and the calling system
take place through the IO Buffer. That buffer will accept a maximum of
200 hazardous materials (UN / NA numbers) for evaluation on any truckload
(Type 1 input record). The results of each evaluation are returned as
a series of 5 output records:
- Type 2 – Segregation
- Type 3 – Trailer Markings
- Type 4 – Required Placards
- Type 5 – Alternative Allowed Placards
- Type 6 – Errors
The type 5 Alternative Allowed Placards indicate when optionally allowed
placards can be utilized for a load. For example, the addition of a non-flammable
gas placard in addition to a required flammable gas placard when both
a flammable and non-flammable gas are included on the same load.
